I think my experience of Manila is unfortunately a sad one, the people have been very unfriendly to me. They pretend to not understand me, frequently ignore me no matter where I go with my Fiancé. I will try to get a taxi and say "Little Baguio Terrace" after three cabs just look at me confused; I just walked the 1.5 miles to where I was staying. If we are eating in a restaurant I will start ordering and they talk to me 100% in Tagalog, and I tell them I don't understand, and they start talking to my Fiancé. If I'm busy talking with my soon to be stepdaughter, or even my fiancé they just start talking to her and ignore me. There’s no place like home. The location of this condo unit is right in the heart of Manila. Very near at the NAIA AIRPORT about 15-20 mins drive. Right next to the Makati Police Stn and 5 mins drive to Glorietta Shopping Mall.

Manila is a steamy, claustrophobic city that is both dirty and chaotic. In fact it is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Avoid going in the hotter months, as anything outside is impossible. There is nothing of any great repute to see, and unless you live there or have friends there it is difficult to know the best places to eat or spend time at. My suggestion would be to skip Manila and fly onto one of the many islands

The rooms are large, clean and very well equipped, having a kettle a rice maker a microwave oven and a fridge. I was in a different room to my usual one and was pleased it had a slightly thicker matress,which made the bed comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The area isn't great but it's fairly close to all Manila airport terminals.
